In 2014 the BSG launched a new initiative open to all BSG members, recognising that women were underrepresented in both our specialty and in the Society.
The primary purpose of the SWiG Network was to define the key problems of recruitment of women to the specialty and to establish a pilot scheme for coaching and mentoring within the BSG. In so doing we hope to provide a supportive environment in which women can develop into senior leadership roles, in their careers and in the Society.
