The Yorkshire and Humber Gastroenterology Audit and Research Trainee Network (YaHGuT) is launching MASLD-CARE, a national multicentre quality improvement project. We are inviting hepatology and gastroenterology teams across the UK to participate.
The 2022 National NAFLD Audit identified significant variation in the quality of MASLD care across UK hospitals. MASLD-CARE aims to improve patient care by implementing standardized clinical care bundle and evaluating adherence to the 11 UK MASLD quality standards.
Participating centres will be asked to introduce MASLD care bundle into routine outpatient practice for at least three months, followed by a four-week retrospective audit of eligible new patients. All supporting documents, including the protocol, care bundle and instructions for local audit registration, will be provided.
