Join us on Friday 17th July at UCLH, London for our Trainees IUS Taster Course for Gastroenterology Trainees.

This one-day taster course offers gastroenterology trainees a structured overview of intestinal ultrasound (IUS) and its growing role in the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). With many trainees having limited prior exposure to IUS, the day is designed to build foundational understanding, highlight clinical applications, and showcase the value of ultrasound as part of modern IBD care.

Our faculty includes experienced gastroenterologists and radiologists who routinely use intestinal ultrasound in clinical practice. The programme combines focused lectures with hands-on scanning sessions using both healthy volunteers and patients, giving attendees the opportunity to develop practical skills in a supported environment.

The course aims to give trainees a taste of IUS and guide participants towards pathways for formal training and accreditation. We anticipate running this course annually as part of our commitment to developing ultrasound expertise within gastroenterology.

Please note that this course is for gastroenterology trainees only. However, both members and non-members are welcome to attend. 

There is a limited number of places available on this course. We therefore recommend you register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Registered delegates who do not attend and fail to notify [email protected] in advance to cancel their place will not be refunded and may have their access to future BSG events revoked.

Trainee and IMT members only will be refunded the cost of their ticket within 10 working days of the event.

• Nurse, trainee, IMT, and AHP members only will be refunded the cost of their ticket within 10 working days of the event. You must have been a member for at least 1 month before the event to be eligible for a refund.

Group bookings and payments by invoice:

• Payments by invoice are only available for group bookings of 2 or more people. Singular registrations must be registered and paid for via credit card on the website.
• For group bookings of more than one person, please email [email protected] the full names, job titles, email addresses, dietary requirements, and BSG membership status of everyone in your booking, along with the ticket type you wish to book for each person. Once this information is provided, an invoice will be issued to you.
• Please allow up to 5 working days for your invoice to be received.
• Invoices must be paid in full before the event.

Cancellation terms:

• Two weeks before the event – a full refund will be given
• Less than two weeks before the event – no refund will be given
