BSG HPB Trainees Symposium 2026

13-11-2026 @ 09:00 - 13-11-2026 @ 16:45

BMA House, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9JP

Join us on Friday, 13th November at BMA House, London for the BSG HPB Trainees Symposium 2026.

This one-day programme is designed to support trainees and clinicians in developing practical skills and confidence in pancreatobiliary (HPB) medicine and endoscopy, bringing together experienced UK faculty to deliver concise, clinically relevant sessions covering key areas encountered in everyday practice. Topics include training pathways in pancreatobiliary endoscopy, interpretation of biliary imaging, safe and effective cannulation techniques, and a practical overview of EUS. The agenda also explores core clinical conditions such as pancreatic cysts, chronic pancreatitis, biliary stone disease, and pancreatic cancer, alongside insights into histopathology and current research opportunities in the field.

With a strong emphasis on real-world application, the course highlights evidence-based management, decision-making, and when to escalate care. Dedicated networking roundtables provide a unique opportunity to engage directly with experts, discuss career development, and gain advice on training and progression within pancreatobiliary medicine.

Designed for gastroenterology and surgical trainees, consultants, pancreatobiliary fellows, and specialist nurses, this symposium offers a supportive and collaborative environment to build knowledge, confidence, and professional connections in an evolving specialty.

Attendance outcomes
  • Develop practical approaches to diagnosing and managing common pancreatobiliary conditions encountered in routine clinical practice
