About the speakers

Professor David S Sanders works in Sheffield, UK. He has published >500 pubmed papers, H-score > 100. He is internationally recognised for his work in coeliac disease & small bowel endoscopy. Awards: European Rising Star Award (2010), Cuthbertson Medal (2011) and Silver Medal in 2017 (UK Nutrition Society), Swedish Gastroenterology Society Bengt Ihre Medal (2017) & the British Society for Gastroenterology (BSG) Hopkins prize for Endoscopy (2019). BSG President Elect. He works in the Academic Department of Gastroenterology which is the UK National Centre for Refractory Coeliac Disease & World Endoscopy Organisation GI Centre of Excellence.

Dr Tom Nicholson is an Assistant Professor of Mental Health Nursing at Northumbria University, with specialist interests in ADHD, neurodiversity and children’s mental health. A registered mental health nurse, his research focuses on the lived experiences of neurodivergent people and their families, including the experiences of parents navigating the ADHD diagnostic journey. Tom is also an international speaker and trainer on ADHD and neurodiversity, bringing together academic research, clinical expertise and lived experience in his work.

 

Dr Jane Fletcher is Consultant Nurse for Nutrition and Intestinal Failure at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. She has extensive expertise in clinical nutrition, intestinal failure and parenteral nutrition, with a particular interest in developing the role of specialist nutrition nurses and strengthening the evidence base for high-quality nutritional care. Jane is President Elect of the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) and is set to become its first female and first nurse President.
