The annual BSG BAPEN Basic Nutrition Training Day has been running since 2024. The course, delivered by a nationally expert faculty, covers a range of common nutritional issues that are critical for all gastroenterologists to understand, regardless of whether they have a nutrition subspecialty interest or not. 

The course is intended for gastroenterology trainees in the early stages of their higher training and IMT3s with an interest in gastroenterology. However, if you are a senior trainee, locally employed doctor, SAS doctor or surgical trainee with an interest in nutritional care, it may be equally valuable.

Attendance outcomes

• Consolidate and enhance knowledge of common nutritional problems that are essential for all gastroenterologists to be able to manage
• Develop confidence in assessing enteral tubes and troubleshooting common problems
• Understand training pathways and opportunities for further nutrition education and careers
• Networking with trainees and faculty from around the country

Group bookings and payments by invoice:

• Payments by invoice are only available for group bookings of 2 or more people. Singular registrations must be registered and paid for via credit card on the website.
• For group bookings of more than one person, please email [email protected] the full names, job titles, email addresses, dietary requirements, and BSG membership status of everyone in your booking, along with the ticket type you wish to book for each person. Once this information is provided, an invoice will be issued to you.
• Please allow up to 5 working days for your invoice to be received.
• Invoices must be paid in full before the event.

Cancellation terms:

• Two weeks before the event – a full refund will be given
• Less than two weeks before the event – no refund will be given
