BSG Research Committee – Trainee Research Networks (TRNs) Representatives
Shape the future of gastroenterology and hepatology research
Research has always been central to the mission of the British Society of Gastroenterology. From internationally influential multicentre studies to research embedded in everyday clinical care, UK gastroenterology and hepatology research continues to drive meaningful improvements in patient outcomes.
As part of the BSG Research Strategy 2026–2030, we are committed to building a more inclusive, collaborative and research-active community across gastroenterology, hepatology, and related specialties. A key priority is supporting trainees to access, lead, and deliver high-quality research.
We are therefore seeking 2 enthusiastic and motivated gastroenterology or hepatology trainees to join the BSG Research Committee as Trainee Research Networks (TRNs) Representatives for a 3-year term.
About the role
Trainee Research Networks are a powerful model for delivering high-quality multicentre audits and research studies designed and led by trainees. We are looking for trainees who are passionate about collaborative research and keen to champion opportunities for fellow trainees across the UK.

We welcome applications from:
- Gastroenterology or hepatology trainees
- Current or previous members of Trainee Research Networks
