Join an interactive session discussing the investigation and management of acute kidney injury in cirrhosis.

This will be the third and final instalment in the highly popular Cirrhosis MDT series. In this session we will discuss the causes of acute kidney injury in cirrhosis (it’s not all hepato-renal syndrome!), management, and future directions in the field, influenced in part by landmark UK-based research.

The event will be highly relevant to clinical practice, with time for questions and discussion. CPD points will be awarded.(TBC). The format will be primarily in the form of panel multidisciplinary discussion, with the option for audience participation and questions.

Objectives:
  1. Understanding precipitants of AKI in cirrhosis
  2. Strategies for management of renal dysfunction in cirrhosis which includes when to involve renal physicians, ICU and tertiary hepatology
  3. Discuss implications of recent relevant clinical trials ATTIRE and CONFIRM, as well as preventative strategies
