Dame Parveen Kumar Award for Education and Training 2024
The Dame Parveen Kumar Award for Education and Training (previously BSG Gold Trainer Award) is awarded annually to recognise the work of excellent trainers in developing the future of the gastroenterology and hepatology specialty.

Endoscopy Rising Star Award
The Endoscopy Rising Star prize is new for 2022, and will be awarded every two years at the annual meeting on the recommendation of the Endoscopy Committee. The prize is awarded for the best submission regarding a technical innovation in the field of endoscopy, a new method using existing endoscopic equipment, or contribution to endoscopy research.

The Alistair McIntyre Prize for Improving Gastroenterology Training is designed to support work that may improve gastroenterology training in the UK.
Outstanding Contribution to GI and Hepatology Nursing Award
This award is designed to recognise outstanding contributions to any field within GI nursing. This could be through exceptional patient care, leadership, innovation, research, education and training or quality improvement projects.
Trainees Leadership and Management Prize
This award is designed to identify and promote talented trainee leaders nationally in order to promote leadership in gastroenterology in the future. There is a single award of £1000.
Trainees Young Gastroenterologist of the Year - Clinical and Translational Science
The BSG Young Gastroenterologist of the Year – Clinical & Translational Science is designed to identify and promote talented trainee clinical scientists nationally in order to promote research and science in gastroenterology for the future. There is a single award of £1000.
Trainees Out of Programme Award
The Trainees Out of Programme Experience Award is designed to help gastroenterology trainees in the UK access training opportunities that are not available as part of their local training rotations. There is a single award of £1000.
CSSC Service Development Prize
This award recognises the work carried out by BSG members, as a team or as an individual, that has made a demonstrable impact on patient care by innovative service improvement.
