IBD Question Time will take place on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 @ 18:00 on the theme of Sexual Health in IBD. This is a special session as we have a Patient Representative on the panel, Iain Sinclair, to add a patient perspective to Sexual Health with IBD.

Only BSG Members can submit questions for discussion which must be sent to us by the 17 May. You must also be available to ask your question in person at the meeting.

Learning Objectives


By the end of this event, attendees will be able to:

  • Recognise the impact of IBD, its treatments, and surgery on patients’ sexual health, relationships, and quality of life
  • Demonstrate improved communication skills when initiating and managing conversations about sexual health in clinical practice
  • Identify practical strategies and multidisciplinary approaches to support patients experiencing sexual health concerns related to IBD
  • Understand the psychological, social, and body image factors influencing sexual wellbeing in IBD populations
