Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy

We are inviting enquiries for the position of Senior Fellow in advanced luminal endoscopy at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This post is designed to provide training opportunities in Advanced Luminal endoscopy (ESD/Advanced EMR - both Uppers and lowers, RFA) essentially providing skills to be equip candidate to provide such services to both Upper and lower GI MDT s. Applicant would be independent in diagnostic endoscopy, lesion recognition, and hemostasis. Research opportunities to do collaborative research will be provided and encouraged. This post will be supervised by Dr Pradeep Mundre and Dr Richard Lord. The post holder is expected to provide 3 service lists and a independent clinic per week. Active involvement in large polyp/Colorectal cancer MDT, Upper GI MDT is encouraged and timetabled. The department is a specialist center regionally for Advanced luminal Endoscopy. This service covers a large population of 1.2 million across 4 hospitals from 3 different NHS trusts.

The post holder will be responsible for the following: The post-holder will be required to provide four service clinical sessions/week. It is envisaged that there will be at least 3 endoscopy lists/week and 1 clinic/week, including evening clinic/lists for service. The postholder is expected to attend 4 training lists per week to train with Dr Mundre and Dr Lord in advanced luminal endoscopic procedures such as Complex EMR s, RFA s , Dysplasia assessment , chromo endoscopy and exposure to ESD would be provided depending on experience and skills Occasionally the post holder may need to support/teach juniors to insert ascitic drains on the day ward. No commitment to on-call for Gastroenterology/GIM is required for the post. If the post is to be recognised for OOPE, then the appropriate agreement from the Deanery/SAC will need to be obtained. The appointee will take an active role in audit and clinical governance and will comply with all the Trust infection control policies.

The appointee will participate and co-operate with all Directorate Management arrangements.
