The Neurogastroenterology and Motility section comprises a vibrant and enthusiastic cross-section of academics, tertiary specialists, general gastroenterologists, physiologists and trainees.

Whilst the group is relatively small numerically, the patient cohort represented comprises up to half of gastroenterology out-patients and spans a spectrum from mild disturbance of gut function to intestinal failure. New members are therefore always welcome. The aims are to raise awareness and best practice in NGM within the BSG through education, training, service development and research. We actively participate in patient groups, guideline development, and collaboration with both industry and university research partners. We also have active links with our European partners in the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility.
