Learning objectives

• Learn about life as a researcher and develop basic skills in research planning, including how to write a successful grant application, how to develop a good research question, and how to do research alongside your training or regular clinical/nursing role
• Discover how you can get started in research as a trainee or nurse and learn how to identify new pathways and opportunities
• Gain an insight into real-world research projects and national collaborations
• Build connections with peers and professionals in the gastroenterology research community to foster collaboration, and support ongoing engagement in research
