Lower GI Endoscopy fellow

This is a clinical post based in the Department of Gastroenterology at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals. It addresses candidates who have completed or are completing their training in Gastroenterology and wish to gain experience in advanced lower GI endoscopy. The post holder will be trained in colonic endotherapy (hands-on EMR and observation of ESD) and will deliver endoscopy service lists. They will participate in the lower GI MDM and will coordinate our monthly polyp meeting. Outpatient activity will include one clinic and one virtual clinic. They will also participate in rotation of the delivery of weekend endoscopy and in the on-call rota. Additional educational opportunities, depending on the post-holder training needs, will be available in other areas of Gastroenterology, such as advanced inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, capsule endoscopy, and enteroscopy. Contribution to the team research portfolio will be encouraged. There is a 1:12 on-call commitment.
