New Impact Factors announced for BSG Journals
Gut, one of the world’s leading journals in gastroenterology, has once again cemented its position at the forefront of the specialty with a newly released Impact Factor of 25.8, as announced in the latest Journal Citation Reports (JCR) from Clarivate. This has increased from 23.1 in 2023 and means the journal has now overtaken the AGA's Gastroenterology to take 4th place in the JCR Gastroenterology & Hepatology category (total of 147 journals indexed). Gut has a Scopus Citescores (these are based on 4 years of citations compared to 4 years of published articles) of 46.7, ranking 3rd out of 173 journals in Gastroenterology.
In addition to Gut’s record performance, Frontline Gastroenterology rose to an Impact Factor of 3.1 and now ranks 55/147, with a Scopus Citescore of 5.0. The Impact factor has increased from 2.6, underscoring its continued importance as a trusted source for clinical education and practice guidance.
BMJ Open Gastroenterology achieved an Impact Factor of 2.9, and now has a Scopus Citescore of 5.8.
Together, these journals reflect a vibrant and influential publishing portfolio for the BSG and BMJ, which offer vital platforms for groundbreaking research, clinical insight, and education across all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology.
