Applications are open for BSG President Elect (2024-2026)

Applications are now open for the role of BSG President Elect from June 2024 until June 2026.  The President Elect will go on to become the President from June 2026 – June 2028.  This is one of the most prominent roles in the BSG and affords a real opportunity to produce change and to interact with government and other regulatory bodies to set the agenda for gastroenterology and hepatology over the next four years.  The role also provides opportunity for the successful candidate to develop new skills including working and interacting with the BSG senior leadership team.  It does however require some experience of working with the BSG and has a time commitment.  The President is happy to discuss the position with anybody that may be interested.

For informal discussions and questions, please contact Prof Andy Veitch or Prof Colin Rees at [email protected]

The BSG believes that equality of opportunity is of fundamental importance for everyone involved in our organisation. We welcome and actively seek to recruit individuals to our activities regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, or working pattern. We welcome applications from individuals who may wish to apply on a job share basis. The BSG aims to encourage diversity of membership in all committees, senior roles, and staff.

Further information and a job description are available here. Please upload a brief CV (2 pages max.) and a statement of application detailing why you would like to be appointed to the role using this form.
