New national genomics resources in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

The National Genomics Education Programme have launched #GeNotes collection specifically for #Genomics cases in your practice. It is packed with educational scenarios written by experts in your field, including Dr Kevin Monahan, Dr Rob Scott, and Professor Guruprasad P Aithal.

Check it out here.

The NHS Genomic Medicine Service Alliance was launched in 2020 to embed genomics into mainstream clinical care, which involves the integration of newly developed genomic tests to be performed directly by front-line gastroenterologists rather than by clinical geneticists at specialist centres. In a previous survey of UK gastroenterology residents, the overwhelming majority of respondents said that more education is needed. In response, we prepared these resources which are prepared and designed for resident doctors and consultants in gastroenterology and hepatology.
