Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy
Duration
One year

This post is ideal as an out of program (OOP), post-CCT, or stand-alone clinical fellowship to gain experience and expertise within GI endoscopy.

BHRUT has seven purpose-built treatment rooms, including two with screening facilities, across two JAG-accredited sites; Queen's Hospital and King George Hospital. The unit performs over 20,000 endoscopies per year in total, and forms part of the Digestive Disease Centre (DDC); a new organisation focused on excellent patient care.

The appointed fellow will join the DDC and help support the provision of a high-quality endoscopy service. The position will entail providing designated cover for general endoscopy lists each week, while increasing experience as an independent practitioner. Involvement in JAG training, educational projects, and research opportunities are also offered in the form of both local and multicentre prospective studies.

There is a GIM component to this role, and on-call commitment of 1:10.
