The Newcastle Liver Research Group are seeking applicants for a fully funded 3-year Clinical Research Fellowship in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)-related Cirrhosis. The successful applicant will join a vibrant research group working on an exciting new clinical and translational project to explore the factors that determine how NAFLD progresses to cirrhosis and to study biomarkers that predict hepatic decompensation and adverse outcomes ('ADVANCE').

This post provides an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious clinician to develop a practical understanding of clinical/translational research and to study for a PhD. According to the appointee’s level of clinical training, there may also be opportunities for the applicant to gain further specialist hepatology experience within the Freeman Hospital Liver Transplant Unit.
