The first UK conference on the Gastrointestinal Manifestations of Cystic Fibrosis (CF-GI UK)

Friday April 26th 2019: 0900-1630

CF-GI UK 2019 is a free, BSG-endorsed, one-day conference aimed at Gastroenterologists, CF Physicians, Dietitians and all other interested health-care professionals to raise awareness of the GI manifestations of cystic fibrosis and their clinical significance. Once thought limited to pancreatic insufficiency and ileus, there is an increasing recognition and body of evidence to demonstrate: chronic GI symptoms reminiscent of other GI disorders; chronic low-grade intestinal inflammation; an increased risk of bowel cancer; dysbiosis that appears to influence lung exacerbations. CF-GI is an emerging area of subspecialist expertise that has generated its own systematic training programme in the United States.

We are privileged to have a stellar international expert faculty. Delegates will learn about the range of GI symptoms and manifestations and their potential origins, how to conduct a systematic work-up and select treatment options as well as monitor progress. Bowel cancer screening and a UK strategy for CF-GI will also be major points for discussion. Places are limited, so make sure to register soon! Royal College of Physicians CPD points have been applied for.
