I take up my post as Editor in Chief from September 2018.

I am very excited to take on this role and look forward to working with the readers, researchers, authors, editors and the BSG and BMJ to deliver this top quality journal with the mission to help clinicians in their practice by publishing the best of innovative practice, clinical research, evidence based guidance and clinical reviews.

I am looking to appoint 2 new associate editors to join the existing team. This role will involve promoting the journal, working with authors, handling and reviewing submissions, working with the editorial team to commission topical and clinically relevant content and being part of the team to develop the strategy and future direction of the journal.

Applications should be by brief CV including detail of previous experience (not essential) and what you feel you can offer the journal.

Applications to Professor R Mark Beattie, mark.beattie@uhs.nhs.uk. Please contact me by e-mail if you would like to discuss the role further.

Closing date 10/10/18.
