"Being a gastroenterologist allows me a wide range of clinical experience. I have the opportunity to look after the acutely unwell patient and deal with the challenges this presents as well as being involved in the technical aspects of endoscopic procedures which can be extremely demanding. Gastroenterology is a very diverse subject and involves the management of diseases affecting many organs as well as having close links with many other specialties. It’s a fast moving specialty with something new to learn each day."
