I would like to introduce Mark Hacker, the BSG’s new CEO. Mark joined us on 29th January to head up the BSG Office Team. His background is in both the business and charity sectors and I am sure all BSG members will want to welcome him to the Society.
"I’m thrilled to have joined the BSG as your CEO. My career has spanned both the commercial and Not for Profit sector including time with the Royal College of Physicians and the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians. I’ve also worked in a number charitable education projects in Sierra Leonne, Rwanda and Bukino Faso. Much of my career has been involved in digital transformation and most recently with a global education publishing company.
It’s an exciting time to be joining you; I am looking forward to working with the secretariat team, Council and Trustees, to focus on delivering our priorities including solidifying our impressive commercial partnerships, delivering first class meetings, developing nationally recognised guidelines and all the other initiatives that support our members. "
Mark can be contacted via Admin@bsg.org.uk or MHacker@bsg.org.uk. He will be attending BSG Endoscopy Live in Gateshead (March 7th) and of course the BSG Annual Conference in Glasgow (June 17-20th 2019).
I am looking forward to seeing you all there.
