Call for Nominations for Participants at the 20th ECCO IBD Intensive Course for Trainees

Updated on: 26 Aug 2021   First published on 25 Aug 2021

The annual IBD Intensive Course is a 1-day course which takes place prior to the ECCO Congress. This is an excellent educational opportunity and a prestigious event, with those who have been in the past rating this very highly.

It was initiated in 2003 by EduCom with the general aim to provide advanced fellows and junior faculty in gastroenterology with a multidisciplinary broad base of knowledge in inflammatory bowel disease. Participation is based on invitation and students are nominated by ECCO National Representatives. The course offers an excellent opportunity for young clinicians and researchers to meet colleagues from many European countries with different standards of medicine and establish a network for future collaboration.

The 20th ECCO Intensive Course for Trainees in IBD for residents, fellows in gastroenterology, and junior faculty will take place in Vienna, Austria, on 16th February 2022 just prior to their next Congress. We are pleased to inform you that the preliminary programme of this course is already available.

There will be 3 seats available for the UK, with the selection process managed by the BSG IBD Section Committee. Your nomination must be received by Monday 20th September to be considered. You must be an active member of the BSG to be considered.
