BSG appoints new President Elect

Following a competitive selection process, the BSG is delighted to announce that Dr Andy Veitch has been appointed as President Elect. 

Andy is a Gastroenterologist in Wolverhampton with interests in therapeutic endoscopy, training, and clinical research. He is a former Vice President (Endoscopy) of BSG and is currently BSG EQIP lead for improving quality in upper GI Endoscopy. He brings wider NHS leadership experience as chair of the Bowel Screening Advisory Committee for England. 

Internationally he has represented BSG as a member of the International Section, the European Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy as a quality improvement lead for endoscopy services, and the World Gastroenterology Organisation as chair of their Endoscopy Committee.   

He joins the new BSG President, Dr Alastair McKinlay, and the rest of the BSG Executive, and will play an important role in liaising with the executive and key committees on all matters of BSG activity.
