I qualified as a nurse in 1993 and my career in endoscopy started in 1995. Over the years, my interest in endoscopy has developed. I have been a clinical endoscopist and upper GI nurse specialist for 18 years and more recently I have also been Endoscopy Training and Development Lead. I am studying for a PhD examining the trainees experience of Nurse endoscopists during endoscopy training. I am sustainability lead for endoscopy and last year I was fortunate enough to be selected to become a committee member of the BSGNA. I am also the Nurse representative for ESGENA and Training Committee. I am very interested in education and training and developing a future workforce to meet the needs of endoscopy demand.
