The BSG is seeking to appoint a Trustee with experience at a senior level in an investment professional discipline.
The Board of Trustees are responsible for top-level governance, ensuring that key decisions made are in both the public and the BSG’s best interests. The Board works closely with the Executive Committee and the Council, both comprised of medical professionals, who develop strategy and input to medical governance.
As a registered Trustee with the Charity Commission, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact through your contribution to the strategic direction and priorities of the BSG. You’ll achieve this through your attendance at Trustee Board meetings and Trustee Sub-Committee meetings, your liaison with BSG Executive, BSG Council, and BSG Chief Executive, and your valuable insight and advice. As such, the BSG is looking to see that you have a thorough understanding of the role of a Trustee in a Charity and in the development of small organisations.
This is a three-year appointment term with the opportunity to renew. It is an un-remunerated post – reasonable expenses incurred through the role will be reimbursed.
