Taster Course in Gastroenterology

The BSG Trainees Section is once again running this year’s Taster Course – it’s a great opportunity for trainees at Foundation/CMT level interested in a career in gastroenterology. Over the 2 day course, they will obtain insight into various aspects of the specialty as well as tips and coaching on the application for entry into speciality training in gastroenterology.

The course offers hands-on experience of endoscopy on animal models, abdominal ultrasound, clinical and endoscopy simulation scenarios. There is also the opportunity to network with an experienced faculty of gastroenterology registrars and consultants during the course. The potential trainees will also be given application and interview advice for those intending to apply for the next round of training posts.

Medical students with an interest in gastroenterology are also encouraged to attend (limited free places will be available for students).
