BSG Endoscopy Live March 7-8th 2019 will be the largest live endoscopy meeting ever held in the UK, and the most interactive large meeting held anywhere in the World!

Held in the superb SAGE conference centre in Newcastle, highlights will include:

Live Endoscopy

The best endoscopic teachers in the UK will be performing live cases from Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and University College Hospital, London. The focus will be on optimal delivery of patient care, with expert demonstration of both procedures common to all our endoscopic practices, as well as advanced techniques that are changing our approach to common clinical problems.

Debate/discussion/decision making

In endoscopy knowing how to do it is one thing – knowing when to do it can be even more important. Expert lectures, break-out sessions, seminars, and a half day endoscopy/pathology/catch-up session will allow us all to better understand decision making around optimal endoscopy care.

Video abstracts

Show off your endoscopic/teaching/video-editing skills! ‘A picture tells a thousand words’ and there’s so much to learn from a well presented short video, including demonstration of standard endoscopic techniques, complex procedures, or endoscopic complications. And for fellows and trainees presenting accepted abstracts there’s free registration and support to attend! For an example of a teaching case (put together by George Webster VP (endoscopy) BSG – younger techie trainees should be able to do a much better job!) click here. Further submission instructions can be found on here. Oh, and prizes for the winner! The abstract deadline is Jan 16th 2019.

iPad interactive learning

Been to a live endoscopy or conference before and sat in the auditorium feeling that not learning much? Most have, but not at BSG Endoscopy Live! All delegates will receive a personalised iPad for the duration of the meeting. From this delegates can select a huge range of educational material – annotate the lectures and email to themselves; endoscopic tricks and tips; quizzes; interactive questions during live cases; ask questions; access industry/equipment/accessory information; literature/guidelines/reviews (which can be  emailed on for further review)

Whether you’re a consultant, trainee, or endoscopy nurse there will be a huge amount to learn and enjoy over a fun couple of days – come as a team!
