CSSC Service Development Prize

Now in its fourth year, this award recognises the work carried out by BSG members, as a team or as an individual, that has made a demonstrable impact on patient care by innovative service improvement.

New for this year, there will be prizes for the top three submissions:

1st Prize £500

2nd Prize £300

3rd Prize £100

The winners will receive a certificate at the BSG Annual Meeting. The winning submission could be developed into a publication in Frontline Gastroenterology, subject to peer review. It will also be published on our BSG website as a service success story.

Eligibility

The principal applicant must be an active BSG member to be eligible. The winner is required to attend on the last day of the virtual meeting to receive their prize.

Application Process

Applications will close on 7th February 2022. Details on how to apply will be released shortly. This award is reserved for BSG members.

Below are the fields you’ll need to complete.

  • Please demonstrate how you or a colleague have improved service provision or had a positive impact on patient care: maximum of 1000 words and 2-3 tables or figures

Judging information

Each application will be marked from 0-10 with the following criteria by a panel of BSG reviewers recruited by the CSSC Chair and includes the Editor-in-Chief of Frontline Gastroenterology: 0-3 (poor), 4-5 (average), 6-7 (good), 8-9 (very good), 10 (excellent).

The scores will be added and then ranked with the top score being the best application. In the event of a tie, there will be a discussion to agree on the winner.
