Subspecialty Training Placements in Hepatology
Applicants are invited for appointment to Subspecialty Training Placements in Hepatology commencing 1st September 2014, for a period of 12 months until 31 August 2015. The posts are recognised by JRCPTB and therefore count towards subspecialty accreditation in the field. Details on the fourteen posts can be found below.
Applications this year will be processed at a national level, with successful applicants matched to an appropriate post based on preference and training needs.
The posts are aimed primarily at trainees who will be entering ST6 in September 2014 although entry at ST5 or ST7 is also permissible.
A National Training Number (NTN) is not available for this appointment.

Clinical Research Fellow in Gastroenterology: Full time, 2 years.
This opportunity has arisen as part of expansion of our academic research activity in Gastroenterology. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join a rapidly expanding clinical & academic research team in Gastroenterology at the University Hospital, Coventry (UHCW NHS Trust).
The post-holder will be employed by the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, and will have the opportunity to register for a higher degree at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick. There are exciting new research facilities with a GI Research suite on site. The successful candidate will join a current PhD student and MD fellow already supporting this research activity.
Applications are open to candidates with appropriate experience and an interest in research in the area of Gastroenterology. The project will involve utility of novel technology in biomarker research within Gastroenterology.

Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) is essential, and the applicant must be an independent Diagnostic Endoscopist proficient in Colonic Polypectomy, and the Endoscopic Treatment of Gastrointestinal (GI) Bleeds.
