Portsmouth Advanced Endoscopy Symposium
Endoscopic Mucosal Resection & Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection
Upper and lower GI EMR is becoming increasingly common within our practice, but confusion still exists for EMR indications, use of accessories, diathermy settings, complications, surgical implications and training requirements. The speakers will attempt to address these issues during the course of the symposium with a colorectal theme for Sunday and upper GI for Monday.
The symposium will start on Sunday morning and lectures will finish by Monday lunch time. After lunch, a hands-on training session will be available for the delegates who have requested this option.
This session will be held on site using the Portsmouth tissue model and will be well supervised.
The aim will be to familiarise yourself with all types of EMR & ESD accessories including endo-clips, endo-loops, EMR snares and EMR knives etc. Those who do not sign up for the hands-on session will be able to utilise our lecture facility to benefit from a range of EMR/ESD videos during the afternoon.
