Description

Clinical decision making in gastroenterology and hepatology; the trials and tribulations of digestive diseases

Joint conference with the British Society of Gastroenterology and British Association for the Study of the Liver

Gastroenterology and hepatology are two disciplines where the scientific endeavour has been second to none with several Nobel prizes presented for GI physiology and medicine. The difficult area has been translating the first class science into practical clinical evidence. This conference is unique in presenting many of the very large and well designed GI and Liver trials addressing both complex acute and chronic areas. The aim of this conference is to improve clinical practice and encourage debate in new trial design as well as recruitment to ongoing studies. It will present the key clinical evidence for day to day management of gastroenterology and hepatological problems today and tomorrow.

Audience:

The generalist (both consultants and trainees) who see the occasional liver disease as well as specialist nurses and clinical trialists.
