The European Colorectal Congress will take place in St.Gallen, Switzerland, from 1st to 3rd December 2010.

More than 1000 participants from all over Europe and many top-level speakers will participate in this special event.

The main topics this year are: Complications - Liver Metastases

Since no one likes to admit having complications after surgery, they are rarely discussed at a congress. The focus of this year’s congress is particularly on the topic of complications: what are the causes, how can we treat them and how can we prevent them.

They are looking for the best free paper in the fields “Colorectal surgery” or "Liver metastases". To encourage the participation of young professionals, they continue offering a reduced participation fee for fellows in training.

Furthermore there will be two workshops on 30th November 2010 and during the congress. The workshops cover proctological topics and again NOTES & Single Port Surgery.

The programme of the workshops includes live surgery (simulcast to the auditorium), discussion as well as hands-on training.
