Vacancy: JETS workforce lead

The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (the JAG) invites applications from persons interested in taking up a key role in leading the programme. The immediate focus will be on finalising the competency framework and working to effectively embed it within the UK endoscopy workforce.

The JETS workforce training programme (formerly GIN programme) provides a training framework that is relevant to nurses and support workers in the endoscopy setting. The programme enables all members of the endoscopy support team to develop their knowledge, professional awareness and practical skills in relation to gastrointestinal endoscopy, so encouraging more effective, evidence- based patient care. The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the programme in developing themes of work relevant to workforce training.

The appointment will initially be for two years, renewable for a further year by agreement. Time for working in the role will be reimbursed to 0.5 day per week.
