HQIP announces results of 3rd UK IBD Audit

21 February 2012

Care for patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) has improved across a wide range of measures, according to the third UK IBD Audit (carried out in 2010). A higher proportion of patients is seen by an IBD nurse specialist during their hospital stay, readmission rates have gone down, and mortality has halved since the first UK IBD Audit (in 2006). Despite these successes, there is still room for improvement, as outlined on UK IBD Audit report.
